The school
Apulia is an Italian Language and Italian Culture School for foreigners located in Lecce, Puglia, in the heart of Salento, at the Oxford Institute, a Language School established 30 years ago.
Apulia is open all year and offers a wide rage of courses and accommodation.
Students of Italian as a foreign language often choose to learn the Italian language because they are interested in Italian Culture. So Apulia’s programmes are a mixture of language and culture. Social activities give students the opportunity to learn Italian whilst having fun. Our teachers take part in all the social activities, and adopt teaching methods which use the Italian language as a means of communication.
Our courses are focused on Italian culture and particularly on regional and local culture. Seminars and meetings on culture take place in addition to the standard lessons.
In Lecce and Salento, people speak almost only Italian, so this gives Italian language students a fantastic opportunity to become fully immersed in the Italian language.
Apulia’s staff, who are always friendly and polite, are the main point of contact for the students, for whatever need they might have.
The secretary’s office is open almost all day. In the case of emergency students can call a mobile number which is on 24/h.
Our school is recognized by the Italian Ministero Pubblica Istruzione and by the lands of Berlin, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Sachsen-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein per il Bildlungsurlaub. |
